WHAT INSPIRED THIS EVENT
Do you ever wonder about the value of winter in your life?
Wintering, as Katherine May describes in her treasure of a book called Wintering, is a period of rest, retreat and repair in response to a transition or difficult time.
We all experienced ‘winter' with the pandemic’s global quarantine. And we all endure hundreds of winters in our lives…some big, some small.
How do we know when we’re called to winter? And how do our winters shape our lives? What lessons live in winter? And how does the cold heal? Might winter actually be when we’re most capable of thriving? How might we lean into the intimacy of winter?
Can we actually learn to develop the skill of wintering effectively?
We're eager to discuss all this and more!
Join us on Zoom for a conversation, led by Lindsay Hurty and Amanda Hilton, both of the Everwell team. The conversation will go where the group takes it, and we'll surely deepen our friendships in the process.
You’re welcome to arrive to the conversation having listened to or read Katherine May’s book, Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times—her written word and speaking voice stun—or simply arrive curious about the topic. We will shine light on big ideas from Wintering before inviting an interactive and forwarding conversation within the CIRCLE.
